The owner brief
Young family of 4 in Gaur City 1. Original builder-installed carpenter kitchen was 4 years old and falling apart — cabinet doors warped from humidity, hinges loose, counter chipped, no proper exhaust. Wanted a modular replacement that would last 10+ years.
Budget constraint: under Rs 2 lakh total. Time constraint: family could only manage 4 weeks of disruption (using temporary stove in dining). Brief was clear — function over fancy.
We replaced the L-shape with a more efficient U-shape using the existing utility wall. Net cabinet capacity went up 35%, despite same floor area.

4-week timeline cap: Standard kitchen renovation is 25-40 days. We compressed to 28 by parallel-running factory production + plumbing rework.
Gaur City RWA work-hour restriction: 10am-5pm. We staffed 4-person crew on install days to maximise daily output.
Stove + sink position change: New U-shape required sink relocation by 4 feet — plumbing chase through tiles. Done without re-tiling whole floor.
